The Korean garden Soswaewon provides diverse visual experiences for its visitors to enjoy and interrogate with their movements. Within a controlled space, the garden provides a plethora of sensual experience including visual corridors through the surrounding forest, different types of natural ventilation and air movement, climate fluctuations, a constant play of light and shadow and the sounds of foliage and bamboo as they respond to the wind. These diverse experiences create an emotional atmosphere unique to Soswaewon, which closely ties the human senses to the micro nature of the garden.
