City beach
A structural system of columnar piers at the foundation level seeks to reduce the ecological impact of the building’s footprint, while maximizing the project’s porosity and openness to the public. Part of the open ground floor level splits to touch the sea, creating a variable, natural boundary. A sandy beach is created to offer respite for the barefoot city dweller.
